Vandal Entertainment has canceled future events for the Spring 2020 semester due to recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at the University of Idaho, according to Vandal Entertainment’s statement made on March 19. This decision was made to slow the spread of COVID-19. Vandal Entertainment apologized for any inconvenience these cancellations may cause.
These events include all daytime programming at the Idaho Student Union Building (ISUB), Trivia Night, Cereal and Board Game series, Spring Parent and Family Weekend events and Finals Fest 2020.
Performers Bryce Vine and Jack Novak have been informed of this decision to cancel their performances at Finals Fest 2020.
Refunds have been issued for ticket purchases of any activities for Spring Parent and Family Weekend by the Office of Alumni Relations.
Vandal Entertainment is currently brainstorming ways to continue engaging with students through virtual outreach. They have some plans in the works, Marketing and Promotions Coordinator James Trayford said.
“We want to thank all students who came to our events through the year,” Trayford said.“VE works to create unique experiences for all Vandals through our events, and we are going to miss seeing every single one of you. We have had an incredible time working on our events this year, and we apologize that you will not get to experience all of them as we intended.”
