A Boise nursing home resident has died due to COVID-19, according to a Central District Health (CDH) news release.
The woman, a resident of Avamere Transitional Care and Rehab, was in her 60’s (a previous news release stated she was in her 80’s) and had unspecified underlying health conditions. CDH reports there are 14 additional staff members and residents who have either lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 or considered probable cases.
Avamere continues to work closely with CDH to monitor its response and will consider any other residents or staff who exhibit symptoms to be probable causes, according to the release.
To date, there have been seven confirmed deaths, and two probable deaths reported in Ada county.
According to CDH’s website, a probable death is someone who’s death certificate lists COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 but a lab has not confirmed this.
