Bonneville County confirmed community spread of COVID-19, according to a press release from Eastern Idaho Health District (EIPH) April 2.
Of the two known community spread cases in Bonneville County, both are females, one is in her 30s and one is in her 40s. Both individuals were not hospitalized and are recovering at home.
In both cases, the individuals had no recent travel history and no contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
Epidemiologists with EIPH are investigating both cases and monitoring them closely.
“Staying at home, avoiding nonessential travel, and social distancing will help to slow the transmission of COVID-19,” said Geri Rackow, EIPH Director. “If you have not been taking this matter seriously, today is the day to understand the gravity of the situation.”
