After Gov. Brad Little announced 16 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state of Idaho on Thursday, plans were put in place to issue a shelter-in-place for Blaine County.
“Shelter-in-place means all individuals should stay at home unless they need to perform essential activities or go to work to provide essential business and government services,” according to the press release on Blaine County Sheriff’s Facebook page.
Blaine County residents are still able to go to the grocery store, pick up take out and go outside as long as they practice social distancing, the release said.
The order lists five business which will stay open for the residents of Blaine County which includes:
• Grocery stores
• Gas Stations
• Banks
• Laundromats and dry cleaners
• Childcare
Blaine County sheriff office said gatherings outside of the house are generally discouraged at this time, and to leave a space of six feet between people when going outside.
