President C. Scott Green announced the cancelation of 2020 spring commencement ceremony due to concerns of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) through an email Thursday. This comes after Idaho State University and Lewis-Clark State College announced the cancelation of their commencement ceremonies Monday.
“The decision to cancel Commencement was especially difficult. Celebrating our graduates is one of our most important traditions and celebrations,” Green said in the email. “We hope all Spring 2020 graduates can return and participate in the Winter 2020 or Spring 2021 Commencement ceremonies. We promise to make them special.”
