South Central Public Health District has not yet identified how the woman came in contact with the virus. She had traveled to a neighboring state which was not announced to protect her identity as Blaine County is a rural area.
The state she traveled to did not have any cases at the time but has since then found confirmed cases, Logan Hudson public health administrator said.
“If we ever learn of a location here in Blaine County or people that were at risk at some point. We will notify those people immediately,” Hudson said.
