In November, Idahoans submitted designs for a commemorative edition of the classic “I Voted” sticker voters receive on election days.

The nineteenth amendment was ratified on Aug 18, 1920. This year marks 100 years of women’s suffrage and this contest was designed to commemorate it.

The Idaho Association of County Recorders and Clerks and Idaho Women 100 sponsored a sticker design contest open to all Idaho residents to design a commemorative edition of the “I Voted” sticker.

It was recently announced that Kuna High School junior Samantha Robson won the contest.

“This started as a class project for me, but it turned out to be a really exciting part of my year. Although it was pretty stressful at first, I am very grateful for the opportunity to put my work out there,” said Robson in a news release.

The commemorative sticker with Robson’s design will be given out at all elections in Idaho in 2020 including local and national elections.

“We congratulate Samantha Robson on her winning design. We are grateful to everyone who participated in the contest who used their creativity to celebrate this important anniversary,” said Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane in a news release.
