Some fans might have been disappointed by “Zombieland 2”, many would prefer the original “Zombieland”. If you want some other great zombie movies to watch, here is a list of the top 10 zombie movies you might enjoy if you liked “Zombieland”.
10). “Cockneys vs. Zombies” (2013)
In this British comedy-horror, a group of bank robbers team up with elderly residents of a retirement home to fight against the undead. The film is full of great zombie action and hilarious moments featuring the elderly gunning down zombies.
9). “Shaun of the Dead” (2004)
Another British comedy-horror. In this film Shaun, his ex, his best friend Ed and others attempt to go to a pub in England to wait out a zombie outbreak. Funny for those who like a good comedy, but don’t expect a lot of zombie killing or gore.
8). “Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island” (1998)
While it may be animated it’s Scooby-Doo, and you can’t go wrong with that. In this movie, the gang goes on an island to investigate a haunting, but end up finding zombies. They then have to uncover the mystery of the island while surviving the zombies. Don’t expect any gore, but this movie does have some pretty disturbing imagery.
7). “Contracted” (2013)
Caution, do not watch if you can’t stomach gore. In this movie, a girl contracts a disease after a one night stand and slowly turns into a zombie. Let’s just say for the turning process, it’s not very neat or clean like in the “Walking Dead”.
6). “Juan of the Dead” (2012)
In this horror-comedy movie, a zombie outbreak has infected Cuba. Seeking to make a profit, a man named Juan starts a zombie killing business.

5). “Dawn of the Dead” (2004)
In this remake of George A. Romero’s movie, Director Zach Snyder introduced the world to running zombies. Survivors of an outbreak find themselves trapped in a mall, while trying to keep the undead out. A decent remake has hints of dark humor, but plenty of gore to keep zombie fans satisfied. It also features a great opening with a Johnny Cash song.
4). “Night of the Living Dead” (1968) This movie first introduced the world to the flesh-eating zombies. In this movie, an asteroid passing close to earth causes the dead to rise. This is a black and white zombie movie, and keep in mind the special effects aren’t the best. There’s little gore, but it’s still an interesting movie to watch.
3). “Little Monsters” (2019)
In this fairly recent zombie movie, a teacher attempts to protect a group of school children from the undead. Full of funny moments, a lovely romance and of course, gore. It’s great seeing a teacher trying to shield the kids from the undead all while trying to make sure the kids remain innocent.
2). “Dead Snow” (2009)
If you were a fan of “Call of Duty’s” Nazi zombies mode, then I got a movie for you. In this horror movie, a group of teenagers accidentally awaken some Nazi zombies, and have to put them back in the ground again.
1). “Braindead” (1992)
Do you like Peter Jackson? Well, he directed this movie and successfully combined horror, gore, comedy and slapstick all into one movie. In this film, a man named Lionel Cosgrove attempts to keep the towns people from being eaten by his zombified mother. You can guess how it turns out. This movie features everything from a kung fu priest to an epic zombie killing moment with a lawnmower.
