Panhandle Cone & Coffee is just what Moscow needed to cater to student’s needs.
When Baskin Robbins closed and a vape shop took over the facility, I was very disappointed. All there was left in Moscow was one shop — JAMMs Frozen Yogurt. JAMMs is great, but it is not a filling ice cream.
Ice cream is one of my favorite foods in the whole entire world — aside from sushi, of course. So, when I heard Panhandle was coming to Moscow, I was incredibly excited.
Even though I had never heard of this place until it arrived, I’m proud to say I was pleasantly surprised. There has never been an ice cream flavor I didn’t enjoy — Panhandle doesn’t break that tradition with my palette.
Walking into Panhandle Cone & Coffee for the first time was pleasant. The area is clean and well taken care of, with many places to sit in the open space.
They separate their coffee and ice cream line to guarantee fast service, which is very impressive. Plus, when you get in front of the line, customers can try whatever flavor of ice cream they want.
At Panhandle Cone & Coffee, there are various flavors offered, which they make themselves. Homemade ice cream? Even better.
They have salted caramel and brown butter cookie, orange dark chocolate freckles and even rose. I’m sure these are all glorious flavors but hands down my favorite — peppermint fudge — gives my tastebuds fireworks.
When they hand me the cone with a giant scoop of ice cream, I’m happy. My life is complete in that moment — this ice cream is to die for.
Now, some of you may ask, how’s the coffee? I have no idea. If the ice cream is this spectacular though, I can only expect the coffee is just as good.
Each week, I consider going to Panhandle Cone & Coffee. It beats a pint of ice cream from the grocery store.
But then I realize my fantasy is ruined, and I remember I’m a broke college student. I probably shouldn’t eat ice cream for every meal.
Or can I? Maybe I’ll just have an extremely healthy meal beforehand.
