CAMP, Women's Center event to raise awareness about workplace sexual violence against farmworker women

In an effort to raise awareness of the sexual violence farmworking women experience, the University of Idaho Women’s Center and the College Assitance Migrant Program (CAMP) will host The Bandana Project Monday afternoon.

The 11 a.m. event, which is part of CAMP’s National Farmworker Awareness Week, provides attendees with a bandana to decorate as a show of support for victims of this type of violence.

“During the event, we will also provide information on working conditions and how farmworker women are fighting to improve them,” the Facebook event reads.

The Bandana Project is free and open to the public, with all materials provided. It will be held in the Idaho Commons Clearwater Room, ending around 1 p.m.
