For the second time in as many weeks, Idaho women’s basketball standout Mikayla Ferenz earned the College Sports Madness Big Sky Conference Player of the Week.
The honor comes following Ferenz’s 23-point performance in the Vandal’s win over Montana Thursday. The performance made her the top-scoring basketball player in program history, male or female.
The senior now sits atop the leaderboard with 2,180 points throughout her career following her performances against Montana and Montana State.
Ferenz drained six 3-pointers against the Bobcats in the Cowan Spectrum, helping her team set a new record for 3-pointers made in a game at 19.
Ferenz and the team will travel to play Northern Colorado 1 p.m. Saturday in Greely, Colorado.
