The University of Idaho Confucius Institute will host its monthly Chinese Movie Night Wednesday evening at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre.
The free event, which begins at 7 p.m., is set to showcase “Red Detachment of Women,” a film directed by Xie Jin in 1961.
The next Chinese Movie Night is scheduled for 7 p.m. March 13, and the film has yet to be announced.
“Films made in the 60s in China (are) often hailed as some of the classics,” according to the Facebook event. “Come see if they live up to the hype for yourself!”
