Idaho suffered another loss Thursday in a 100-59 blowout by the Montana Grizzlies.
This is only the second time the Vandals have given up 100 points under head coach Don Verlin. This marks their tenth conference loss of the season and stretches the Vandal losing streak to eight games.
Idaho junior guard Trevon Allen got off to a hot start to keep things competitive on the road in the opening minutes before the Grizzlies caught fire and never looked back.
Montana went on a 31-6 run in the final nine minutes of the first half to trail 59-25 going into the second half.
The deficit was too difficult for Idaho to overcome, as the Grizzlies never gave the Vandals a chance for a comeback.
Idaho turned the ball over 22 times on Thursday marking the most turnovers in a single game this season. Montana scored 35 points due to Idaho turnovers.
The rebounding woes were relevant once again with the Vandals being outrebounded 33-22 throughout the game.
Allen led Idaho in scoring on the night finishing with 13 points. Freshman guard Cameron Tyson finishing with 12.
Idaho finished the game shooting nearly 45 percent from the field, while Montana shot over 48 percent from 3-point range.
The Grizzlies would dominate the Vandals inside the basket, outscoring Idaho 42-14 inside the paint.
The Vandals will need to forget this nightmare quickly as they continue their road trip with Montana State.
Idaho will play the Montana State Bobcats 1 p.m. Saturday in Bozeman, Montana.
