The League of Women Voters of Moscow is hosting two postcard writing sessions this week in support of the Medicaid expansion proposition passed in November, according to a news release.
LWV is holding the events to encourage Idaho legislators to implement and fully fund Medicaid expansion, the league said in the release.
The first session will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The second session will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday. Both will take place in the 1912 Center’s Fiske Room.
The sessions come as lawmakers prepare to implement the Medicaid expansion proposition, which passed with 60 percent support statewide.
The proposition aims to expand Medicaid eligibility requirements to include a broader range of low income individuals by closing the so-called “Medicaid gap,” which consists of those who earn too little to qualify for subsidies on the state exchange but too much to qualify for Medicaid.
The league will supply stamped postcards, mailing labels and talking points for participants, according to the release.
