The University of Idaho administration announced Tuesday in memos to students, faculty and staff that the committee tasked with finding a new UI president will visit campus early next week.
According to the memos, members of the 12-person UI President Search Screening Committee as well as Alberto Pimentel, a senior partner with the executive search firm Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates will be seeking input from the UI community.
The memos outlined key questions and information the group will attempt to collect thoughts on during their visit to campus. These questions and inquiries include thoughts on the following topics: university challenges and opportunities; qualifications and personal qualities for the next president; and current university initiatives.
Multiple meetings will be held throughout the week to collect opinions and feedback. A full run down of the meetings are as follows:
- A closed meeting for faculty will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22 in the Vandal Ballroom in the Bruce Pitman Center.
- The meeting will open up to other community members and media at 4:30 p.m.
- A meeting for staff will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the Vandal Ballroom in the Bruce Pitman Center.
- A meeting for students will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. in the Bruce Pitman Center Vandal Ballroom.
