The second year of Modest Music Fest — taking place Saturday and Sunday — plans to bring a variety of invigorating and exciting acts to Moscow.
“Our goal with the festival is to slowly scale things up, while staying true to what makes ModFest unique …We’re trying to bring a big city music festival to our little city and charge a fraction of what other festivals do, because we want to make it as accessible as possible for everyone,” said Nate Wolff, Humble Burger owner and festival organizer.
After last year’s showcase of artists, such as Built to Spill and Cataldo, their lineup has increased from more than 30 acts to 60 acts, doubling the amount of playable venues.
Taking the main headliner spot at this year’s festival is California rapper Lil B.
“Lil B is playing a festival in Long Beach on Saturday and flying out here early Sunday morning … He and his team have really gone out of their way to make this work and we couldn’t be more excited to have him perform,” Wolff said. “I think it’s going to be one of the most memorable things that’s ever happened in downtown Moscow.”
The second year of the Moscow festival is slated to bring even more hype and awareness to the city. After last year’s well-received performances, Wolff said the festival’s organizers went out of their way to secure even bigger artists.
“I don’t think everyone understands what an experience that’s going to be,” Wolff said.
Wristbands are $20 for a one-day and $45 for the whole weekend, purchasable at the festival’s Eventbrite page: www.eventbrite.com/e/modest-music-fest-2018-tickets-47518310546
