Former Idaho quarterback Matt Linehan will showcase his talents in the newly formed football league, the Alliance of American Football.
The Alliance of AmericanFootball is a new vision for football created by film producer Charlie Ebersol and Hall
of Famer General Manager Bill Polian. The league will feature eight teams battling it out for the championship over a 12-week season, kicking off Feb. 9, 2019.
Linehan had a notabale career for Idaho with the highlight being an Idaho Potato Bowl victory over Colorado State during the 2016 season. Linehan finished his career with over 10,000 passing yards and 62 touchdowns.
Linehan will look to prove himself as a reliable quarterback in the AAF and possibly find his way into the NFL.
Linehan won’t be the only representative of Idaho within the league, with Idaho Hall of Fame coach Dennis Erickson leading the way for the Salt Lake team.
