The University of Idaho Staff Council discussed growing concerns, issues and possible solutions to transitional challenges with market-based compensation.
Wes Matthews, executive director of Human Resources, addressed some frustrations from staff. He said the main concern among employees was how slow the transition process was taking.
Matthews said necessary actions to smooth the transition to market-based compensation will hopefully be taken care of by the beginning of the next fall semester.
He said despite enduring some challenges, he believes the end result of the university’s labor will be worth the initial frustration.
