Broncos outswim Vandals
The Idaho swim and dive team fell to Boise State 164-128. Sophomore Janelle Lucas took first in the 3-meter diving competition with a 290.48, followed by fellow Vandal junior Maren Seljevold with a 280.77.
Junior Nikki Imanaka earned a victory in the 1-meter competition with a 279.52. Sophomore Emily Kliewer finished second in the 100-meter butterfly with a 57.49, 1-100th of a second behind the victory.
“We competed well against a well-coached and talented team,” head coach Mark Sowa said in a news release. “Coming off three good weeks of training, I thought our approach was good and we showed poise in most races. While not perfect in any sense, there were some good moments that we can build off of. Our divers were a great highlight winning both boards.”
