Troy 28 – South Alabama 21

The Trojans used a fourth-quarter rally Thursday to prevent a loss and reach bowl eligibility.

Troy quarterback Brandon Silvers recorded a career-high 395 yards and a touchdown on 28 pass attempts. Running back Jordan Chunn added 143 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Receiver Tevaris McCormick tallied 127 yards and a touchdown on four receptions.

South Alabama quarterback Dallas Davis went 11-of-20 for 195 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Tailback Xavier Johnson recorded 58 yards and two touchdowns on six rushing attempts.

Georgia State 31 – Tennessee-Martin 6

The Panthers used consecutive defensive touchdowns from lineman Marterious Allen and defensive back B.J. Clay to secure the team’s second win of the season.

Quarterback Aaron Winchester went 8-for-16 through the air for 119 yards and a touchdown, despite throwing two interceptions in the win. Winchester also led the Georgia State ground game with 75 rushing yards on 16 carries.

The Panther defense restrained quarterback Troy Cook to 175 yards on 15-of-31 passing. Tailback Marquez Grayson finished as Tennessee-Martin’s leading rusher with 38 yards on six attempts.

Louisiana-Lafayette 27 – Texas State 3

After a tightly-contested first quarter, the Ragin’ Cajuns offense scored 24 unanswered points to claim the victory. The Bobcats remain winless in conference play.

Tailback Elijah McGuire sparked Louisiana-Lafayette with 112 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Quarterback Anthony Jennings added 165 yards and a touchdown, while receiver Michael Jacquet finished with 54 receiving yards on two catches.

Texas State quarterback Tyler Jones was limited to 142 yards on 20-of-28 passing in the loss. The Ragin’ Cajuns defense held the Bobcat backfield to 79 yards on 36 rushing attempts.

Georgia Southern 22 – New Mexico State 19

After falling behind 12-6 in the second half, the Eagles used three consecutive scoring drives to steal a conference victory from the Aggies.

Quarterback Kevin Ellison led Georgia Southern with 101 passing yards and two touchdowns. Ellison also had 117 rushing yards on 20 carries and tailback Wesley Fields caught a 42-yard touchdown pass.

New Mexico State quarterback Tyler Rogers threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-39 passing. Junior tailback Larry Rose III had 22 carries and 81 rushing yards for the Aggies.

New Mexico 59 – Louisiana-Monroe 17

The Lobos used four touchdowns in the first quarter to push the Warhawks closer to postseason elimination.

Quarterback Lamar Jordan led the New Mexico offense with 107 yards and a touchdown on five completions. Tailback Tyrone Owens averaged 19 yards per carry in the win, finishing with 171 yards and a touchdown on nine attempts.

Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Caleb Evans went 12-of-15 through the air for 120 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

The Lobo backfield combined for 476 rushing yards in the win.
