Sophomore quarterback Jake Luton announced his intention to leave the Vandal football program, according to a statement released on Twitter earlier today.
“At this time I would like to announce that I will be leaving the University of Idaho,” Luton said in the statement.
Luton threw for 591 yards and five touchdowns during the team’s Silver and Gold game this spring in place of injured starter Matt Linehan.
“I wish Vandal nation nothing but the best in this upcoming season and the future,” Luton said. “I will forever appreciate my time spent in Moscow.”
