Even though fall is setting in, it is nice to have a snack that reminds us of the warm summer months. If you want something sweet yet healthy and ready to go in a short amount of time, a banana split on a stick is the treat for you.
Ingredients:
- 6 Strawberries
- 2 bananas
- Small bag of frozen pineapple (6 pieces needed)
- 1 cup of dark dipping chocolate
- ¼ cup of chopped peanuts
- 6 popsicle sticks
Directions:
- Cut the two bananas into three pieces each
- Place one piece each of pineapple, banana, and strawberry onto the popsicle stick
- Freeze for fifteen minutes
- Line a plate with wax paper
- Melt chocolate by heating it in the microwave 30 seconds (or until melted), stir until smooth
- Dip the bottom portion of the cold fruit into the chocolate
- Cover the chocolate-coated side with walnuts
