Jordan Hollingshead | Crumbs
College students rarely have the time to make their own sauce for spaghetti, but if you can manage it, I highly suggest this recipe. This sauce is easy enough for the beginning cook and it tastes great.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup Italian blend shredded cheese
- Spaghetti noodles
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 5 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
Directions:
- Cook pasta in a pot
- When done, take a cup of the hot pasta water and dissolve one bouillon cube in it
- Strain the rest of the water from the noodles
- In a large skillet on medium heat, add olive oil, butter and minced garlic cloves and cook for about 1 minute
- Add the dissolved bouillon, heavy cream and the noodles to the skillet
- Stir constantly until sauce begins to boil and then add shredded cheese immediately
- Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is thick
- Serve and enjoy
