Vanilla ice cream makes a long, hot day hiking around campus almost worth it. To get a good arm workout, be sure to make the ice cream from scratch without the help of an electric whisk or an ice cream machine.
Ingredients
- 1 pint whipping cream
- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 7 ounces milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Pour whipping cream into a large bowl and whisk until peaks form, approximately 10 minutes
- Whisk in vanilla right before peaks form
- Add condensed milk and milk
- Stir in with a rubber spatula until mixed
- Pour mixture into freezer safe Tupperware or bowls
- Freeze until set, about 4 hours
- Serve cold
