Don’t get me wrong, mashed potatoes out of a box or pouch are nice, easy and not terrible. However, homemade mashed potatoes are a thousand times better. It doesn’t even require anything special. If you have a potato masher, fantastic, if not, a fork works just as well. This is a recipe I made up on the fly, but anything can be added to suit personal taste.
Ingredients:
4 baked potatoes, peeled if desired
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/4 cup of milk
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl or pot
With a potato masher or fork, stir vigorously until creamy. More milk can be added for creamier potatoes Serve warm or save for another time
