Mike Marboe — center — 6-foot-2, 308 pounds — Dallas Cowboys
The former Idaho center accepted an invitation to the Dallas Cowboys rookie mini-camp later this month. The native of Wenatchee, Washington, will be coached by former Vandal quarterback Scott Linehan (1983-1986), who is currently the Cowboys offensive coordinator. In his four years at Idaho, Marboe never missed a start for the Vandals and was a second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection last fall.
Justin Podrabsky — tight end — 6-foot-6, 254 pounds — Dallas Cowboys
The Idaho-to-Dallas pipeline continues with Podrabsky also getting an invitation to the Cowboys rookie mini-camp. The former high school quarterback was Idaho’s third leading receiver last season with 37 receptions for 380 yards and one touchdown. He finished his career with 44 receptions for 484 yards and one touchdown.
Quayshawne Buckley — defensive tackle — 6-foot-3, 305 pounds — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After Tampa Bay didn’t select any defensive lineman in the draft, Buckley quickly landed with the team after signing as an undrafted free agent. Buckley finished the 2014 season with 15.5 tackles for loss and four sacks. The native of Ontario, California, racked up 181 tackles and 16 sacks during his four years with the program.
Jesse Davis — offensive line — 6-foot-6, 300 pounds — Seattle Seahawks
Seattle was in desperate need for bodies on its depleted offensive line. The Seahawks took three offensive lineman in the draft, but Davis was the only UDFA lineman they signed. Davis came to Idaho as a defensive lineman and played his first two seasons at the position. He made the switch to offensive line his junior year, and in his last two seasons with the Vandals he missed seven games due to injuries.
Maxx Forde — defensive end — 6-foot-5, 272 pounds — Chicago Bears
After he finished his Vandal career with a total of 146 tackles and 10.5 sacks, Forde signed on with the Chicago Bears to tryout for the team during its rookie mini-camp. Forde has the potential to play either defensive end or linebacker for the Bears.
