Claire Whitley | Crumbs
When I was little, one of my favorite foods were finger steaks. I never wanted to try to replicate my mom’s recipe, since it was the best, but a few days ago I was craving them.
Ingredients
- 1 steak or 1 cup of stew meat
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chili powder (optional)
- Other spices to your flavor
Directions
- Heat oil in frying pan over medium high heat
- If using a steak, cut into thin strips about 1/2 inch wide
- Mix dry ingredients
- Drop into egg and coat evenly, draining excess
- Toss in flour mixture
- Fry for two minutes on each side until cooked to taste
- Let cool on paper towel to absorb extra oil
- Serve with potatoes
