Used either as a neat party food or just for fun, these have a unique taste similar to both bananas and potatoes. Definitely worth trying.
Ingredients:
- 1 plantain
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- Olive oil or butter
Directions:
- Slice plantain and fry in oil or butter until golden brown on both sides
- Add salt and garlic powder to the bowl
- Add 1/4 cup water to the bowl
- Flatten the sliced cooked plantain with the bottom of a cup
- Dip the pieces into the bowl
- Fry again on both sides with higher heat until the squished pat is golden brown
