The Idaho football program released its 2015 schedule Friday with highlight games including road trips to USC and Auburn.
The Vandals open the season Sept. 3 with a home game against the Mid-American Conference’s Ohio at the Kibbie Dome before traveling to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for a Sept. 12 matchup at USC.
Idaho’s Sun Belt opener comes Sept. 26 against 2014 champion Georgia Southern in the Kibbie Dome. The Eagles were undefeated in conference play last season and finished the year 9-3 overall.
Other key home games include November games against Appalachian State Nov. 14 and Texas State Nov. 28 for Senior Night.
The Vandals travel to SEC territory for the fourth consecutive season Nov. 21 to face the Auburn Tigers.
Idaho finished 1-10 in 2014 with its lone win coming during the Oct. 18 Homecoming game against New Mexico State.
“It’s exciting to start at home,” said Idaho coach Paul Petrino, who begins his third season with the Vandals. “That (at Ohio University game) was a great game last year. We played them close.”
