John Carvin
The coaching carousal continues for the Vandals’ offensive line coaching position, as Jon Carvin has left the program, the school confirmed Saturday to the Spokesman Review.
According to FootballScoop.com, former wide receiver coach Kris Cinkovich will now slide over to coach the offensive line — leaving a vacancy in his prior position. The university posted the vacant position on its website, with the pay at $46,000 per year.
With Carvin leaving and Cinkovich taking his spot, Idaho will now have had five different o-line coaches in five straight seasons.

Carvin graduated from the University of Albany (New York) in 2004, where he was a two-year starter at outside linebacker. Prior to his brief coaching stint at Idaho, Carvin spent three seasons (2010 – 12) at the University of Illinois, where he was the assistant o-line coach — Paul Petrino was at Illinois for two of those seasons (2010 – 11), as the offensive coordinator/wide receiver coach.
It remains unclear why Carvin left the program.
