Serving meatball as soup may sound strange to some people. This dish is originated from Indonesia. Trust me, I’ve had this growing up, so I recreated homemade meatball soup. This recipe is simple, so I think it’s worth sharing it to everybody. It makes 8-10 serving, so gather up and cook dinner with your fellows.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/5 cup water

For sides and broth:

  • 3 cubes beef bullion
  • Salt and pepper for taste
  • Asian yellow noodles and/or mung bean noodles
  • Bok choy and green onion as desire
  • Sweet soya sauce (you can get this at Asian store)
  • Hot sauce, if you like it spicy

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic
  2. Slowly add flour and water (it might get dirty, but use hands to mix it well)
  3. Form balls with a spoon
  4. In a big pan, boil water (depends on how much broth you would like)
  5. Add meatballs and cook until they are floated
  6. While cooking it, add beef bullion, salt, pepper, noodles, and bok choy as desire
  7. Serve with sweet soya sauce and sprinkle green onion
