After a disappointing finish in Minneapolis at the Minnesota Invitational, the Vandal women’s golf team is back near the top of the leaderboard, as it started play in Pullman, at the WSU Cougar Cup.
Through two rounds, the Vandals were 36 over par at fifth place overall out of 12 teams.
Junior Leilanie Kim continues to shine for the Vandals and sits in fourth place with a three over par through two rounds. The next Vandal on the leaderboard is junior Kaitlyn Oster, who is tied for 12th place with a seven over par.
The rest of the Vandals round out with sophomore Kassidy Long-Goheen tied for 15th, sophomore Cassie McKinley and senior Rachel Choi are both tied for 27th and Amy Hasenoehrl right behind them tied for 31st.
Competing as individuals were Kristin Strankman tied in 52nd, and Mary Sweeny tied in 62nd.
The Vandals finished play on Tuesday.
