Expecting to return the majority of its starting defensive line, one of Idaho’s most experienced position groups got a little thinner Monday, when starting defensive tackle QuayShawne Buckley was dismissed from the team, the Lewiston Tribune reported.
Buckley, a senior to-be, was arrested for driving under the influence early in the morning on Feb. 2. According to the Tribune, Buckley crashed his vehicle into two parked cars, before failing his sobriety test.
No one was hurt in the accident, and the Moscow Police Department would not release the official report, as Buckley has yet to be prosecuted.
The Ontario, Calif., native started eight games last season, tallied 25 tackles and added four more sacks during his junior year.
