City asked to vacate land
There will be a public hearing Nov. 5 on a request for the city to vacate a dedicated City Street Right of Way on the south side of town, said Les McDonald, director of public works for the engineering staff for the city of Moscow.
The City Street Right of Ways are areas of land the city owns the property rights to in order to make new streets as they see fit. McDonald said public hearings for vacation requests are part of the process.
The land in question is near the Primeland Cooperative on U.S. 95, and surrounding land owners will be invited to the public hearing, he said.
At the hearing, the community will have an opportunity to voice their opinion on City Street Right of Way.
