Rachel Millet- Swimming and diving
Millet won three events for the second consecutive weekend, helping the Vandals come out on top of their first WAC meet this fall, a 175-86 decision against Seattle University. The sophomore won three freestyle events, the 50, 500 and 1,000 yard races.
“Rachel continues to impress,” Sowa said. “We put her in some uncomfortable situations with events that she normally doesn’t swim, so that was good training for us right there.”
Allison (Walker) Baker- Volleyball
Continuing to prove she’s one of the conference’s most lethal weapons, Baker notched her 13th double-double of the 2012 campaign in a 3-1 win against Texas-Arlington Thursday in Arlington. The all-WAC junior tallied 19 kills, 14 digs and five blocks in Idaho’s fifth consecutive victory. Baker leads all WAC players in double-doubles and Thursday was the 34th consecutive match she had double digit kills. Friday evening in Ruston, La., Baker had another 11 kills while hitting .258. She added nine digs against the Bulldogs.
