Nothing tastes more like home than fresh baked biscuits – made from scratch and warm from the oven. That’s my opinion, anyway. However, I’m also here to inform you that biscuits from scratch are an easy treat for anyone.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2  1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk

How to

  1. Sift dry ingredients
  2. Add shortening and milk.
  3. Drop from spoon on a greased flat pan or muffin tin.
  4. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Note: I split the dough evenly into a 12-section muffin tin and it worked great.
