This recipe takes a simple cake mix and elevates it to something delicious. With just a few added ingredients a quick and easy cake mix is transformed.
Ingredients
- White or yellow cake mix
- 3 cups chopped rhubarb
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 pint cream
How to
- Mix a white or yellow cake mix normally according to the back of the box.
- Sprinkle chopped rhubarb and sugar on top of the cake.
- Pour a pint of cream over the whole thing.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35-40 minutes.
While baking, the cream, fruit and sugar soak through the cake, making it moist, sweet and delicious.
I’ve only tried this recipe with rhubarb, but I imagine it could be made with any type of fruit, especially raspberries or strawberries. You could also get creative with a chocolate cake mix and dark chocolate. There are many possibilities.
