Throughout the week during the ongoing “Humans vs. Zombies” game on the University of Idaho campus, the human players have been forced to make some hard decisions.
During the Monday night mission, players were forced to choose between rescuing two “injured soldiers” or to leaving them to the zombies. The human players had the option to either execute a mad scientist before she became a super zombie, or let her live so she could continue to produce a vaccine against the zombie virus Wednesday night.

The mission started with an email Monday afternoon informing the human players that there would be an ammo drop in the grass behind the Engineering and Physics building at 9:45 p.m.
When about 100 students dressed in black with bright armbands carrying semi-automatic Nerf guns gathered, moderator Jacob Bow informed the players that the drop’s location had changed to Guy Wicks Field. The humans would have to get to the field and back without entering buildings or crossing parking lots.
In the alley between Buchanan Engineering Building and McClure Hall, three zombie players watched the humans assemble.
Daniel Laporte, physics major, said he expected the humans to stay in a large mass during the mission.
